Latin America and the Caribbean continues steadily on its path towards the deployment of renewable energies and, in general, towards low-carbon economies.

Major technological innovations are on the horizon, both from the demand side of energy as well as from the supply side, for example: the development and use of new energy sources: green H2, synthetic fuels, storage technologies, and, in a pronounced way, the irruption of artificial intelligence in the transversality of the energy chain.

The VIII edition of the Energy Week will be a space for the exchange of experiences and knowledge, as well as a suitable setting for high-level meetings between decision-makers and public policy-makers, the private sector, academia and all the stakeholders of the regional and global energy sector.

The VIII Energy Week will be held from November 6 to 10, 2023 in the city of Montevideo, Uruguay. It is organized by the Latin American Energy Organization (Olade), the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining of Uruguay and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). It will be held jointly with the IRENA’s I Investment Forum.
